1-Year Home Warranty Inspections:
Most all new home purchases come with a one-year builder warranty. The reason is that all new homes have that break-in period where things can move, shift, slip, leak, break, and even fail. Some of these things you will notice and have your builder address. But what about the things you may not notice? We’re referring to the stuff that, although may be minor if caught, have the potential to be major if they’re missed. It only makes sense that before surpassing that one year mark, you would have a professional Home Inspector come do a once over to help you protect your big investment. We suggest scheduling this at 11 months.
Radon Inspection:
Radon testing is recommended by the EPA for all home buyers and sellers, and for very good reason. That is because radon is a cancer causing, colorless, odorless, tasteless radioactive gas that comes from the ground. And it’s everywhere. The only question is, are the levels acceptable, or are they at dangerous levels in your area? We have the specialized equipment and the training to measure this and can recommend the proper action steps to take if necessary.
Wood Destroying Insect Inspection:
We include a Wood Destroying Insect Inspection with every home inspection we perform. The main culprits we’re after are termites and carpenter ants. These unwanted characters can do a lot of damage before you know anything about their destructive activity if you don’t know what to look for. We work with certified professionals who can confidently give you the all clear, or handle and treat the most serious situations.
